Using visual schedules for family success:
A chat with Easy Daysies’ Elaine Tan Comeau
In this week’s episode I am chatting with Elaine Tan Comeau, mom of three and founder of Easy Daysies. Easy Daysies is a magnetic daily visual schedule for kids, and we used them when our kids were little. They help the kids understand the tasks they need to complete, they can have some independence for setting the order, and they can move tasks from the “to do” column to the “done” columns. I’ve just ordered some new ones now that the kids are older, as having this type of schedule is still super helpful to keep the chaos under control during the morning and pre-dinner times. It’s a game changer.
Elaine shares her story of how she went from school teacher to entrepreneur, having the Dragons on Dragons’ Den fighting to make a deal with her to help build the Easy Daysies brand. She has become a sought-after expert on parenting and entrepreneurship.
Elaine is also a stroke survivor, and she shares an incredible story of how, while she was in recovery from a stroke a few years ago, her therapist actually recommended Easy Daysies to her as a way to manage her days! I am a huge fan of this product for what it’s done for our family, and of Elaine and what she has built.
Elaine’s bio:
