Releasing the guilt about wanting a family and a career:

A chat with Latika Vines

Having a family doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice career advancement, and having a career doesn’t mean you aren’t devoted to your family. In today’s episode I chat with Latika Vines from Visionary Initiatives, and we talk about how moms can have BOTH without the guilt. After experiencing postpartum depression with her fourth baby, Latika had to dig deep and analyze how she was living her life. She realized how important it is to find balance and practice self-care, and she shares how she makes time for self-care in little activities each day. Latika has developed a system for managing work AND home life without the guilt, and she is passionate about sharing it with the world.

Latika’s story:

I am a working mom of 4 girls who was diagnosed with postpartum depression because I was overwhelmed, exhausted, and ready to quit. After being diagnosed and being forced to analyze how I was doing life, I have developed a system that allows me to manage life and my career so that I can advance my career and not feel guilty for being devoted and committed to both my job and family. And I have a mission to share that with the world.
