Making space for the joy and the struggle:

A chat with Amanda Laramee

In this week’s episode I am chatting with Amanda Laramee, occupational therapist and health coach. We are talking all about how it is important to make space for joy, but to also make space for the struggle. Checking our expectations about how we “should” be feeling, and making space for the hard times. It is okay to feel the feelings, and to move through them as opposed to around them. It can be so hard as we often feel shame, pressure to handle all the things, to be that super mom. Amanda shares her perspective on how we can learn to sit with the feelings we’re having, and move to understanding of why we’re even feeling those things.

Amanda is also super passionate about listening to our bodies, managing our time and energy while paying attention to our hormones, understanding the ebbs and flows of energy during our monthly cycle.

Amanda’s energy is just lovely and what she shares is fascinating, comforting, and empowering. Enjoy!

Amanda’s bio:

Amanda is a wife, a mother to two girls, an Occupational Therapist and a women’s health coach. She dug into her own journey about 6 months after her first daughter was born when she realized she had no idea what she was doing, but she knew she did not want her daughter to ever face the same insecurities and fears she had had. Through her personal growth, challenges with secondary fertility and delving into women’s health, she now seeks to build a community of women and mothers that will uplift, empower, and encourage one another while living healthy, empowered lives.
