Tragedy, tangents, and taking the DAMN trip:

A chat with Bevin Farrand

In this week’s episode I am chatting with Bevin Farrand. A year and a half ago, Bevin unexpectedly lost her husband, just days after they returned from a whirlwind trip to France. Bevin had been laid off months before and they had gone back and forth for months on whether or not to take the trip. Now, that trip offers some of her best memories. It prompted her to start the “Take the Damn Trip” community, where she inspires others to take the trip, start the business, DO THE THING that they are dreaming about.

We also go on an awesome tangent about why we feel the need to ask for permission from others when thinking about starting something new or going after a dream, and the best ways to ask for support instead of permission.

This is a very inspiring conversation and it will have you thinking about the “take the damn ______” opportunities in your life. You are going to love Bevin.

Bevin’s bio
In 2019, after unexpectedly losing her husband 5 days after they returned from a whirlwind trip to France, Bevin Farrand founded the Take the DAMN Trip movement. Her DAMN framework has inspired hundreds to connect with the people that they love, do the “crazy thing” that makes all the difference and, when given a choice, to take the damn trip. Additionally, she is a business strategist and coach who supports small businesses and entrepreneurs in developing and executing strategies to take their revenue to 6- and 7-figures.
